This site is dedicated to voicing truth and unraveling the mystery  surrounding the incarceration of an innocent man: James Toward.

There are links which we invite you to explore, but perhaps most importantly, there are postings from James himself which provide his insights regarding the 20+ year old travesty perpetrated upon him.

We welcome ALL comments.

I know you are innocent. I lived in port st lucie at the time, and was aquainted with the parents of one of the kids involved. It was about money for them. They recieved a large settlement, and bought a new house, a fancy new car, and a MONSTER TRUCK, within weeks of cashing in. They basically won the lottery at your expense. I remember that their little girl seemed absolutely normal, other than being a bit of a spoiled brat. I do not believe she was abused. The prosecution in your case will never admit wrongdoing. They deserve prison time.

      Dear Mike,
Thank you very much for your comment. We’re sorry for the delay in reply. The tragic destruction of the Toward family and Mr. Toward’s unjust incarceration continue even in this, what will be his 80th birthday year. Unfortunately, it’s been a slow process to gather supporters that still may exist. But, we’re still trying to reach out and it’s encouraging when we hear from people in the community like yourself. Thanks very much for reading. All the best to you, Friends of James

Why Believe That for Which There Is No Good Evidence?

Many people believe in the existence of widespread "repressed" child sexual abuse and organized satanic cults. Such beliefs occur despite lack of evidence supporting them, influenced instead by reliance on authorities and social consensus. In addition, people fail to understand the fallibility of retrospective memory, erroneously assume that high confidence in a memory means that it is accurate, and mistakenly believe that more information necessarily implies a better grasp of reality. Compounding this problem is the diminution in the scientific training of licensed therapists. When therapists themselves have not been inoculated with scientific skepticism, they will not inoculate their clients and will instead contribute to the epidemic of irrational beliefs. -Robyn M.
